Int YHCW 2021

International Year of Health and Care Workers 2021

2021 has been designated as the International Year of Health and Care Workers (YHCW) to show them love and appreciation for their consistent dedication in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a call for everyone to support, protect, and equip our health and care workforces to deliver safe health care at all times, not only during COVID-19.

WHO has launched a year-long campaign, under the theme – Protect. Invest. Together. The message shows the concern for appropriate protection and conditions of work for health and care workers. It calls for investments in health care workers’ education and employment as the foundation of Health for all.

Protect. Invest. Together :

Protect Health and Care Workers:

They have protected the world during COVID-19. We have a moral obligation to protect them, such as all health and care workers should be prioritised for the COVID-19 vaccine in the first 100 days of 2021.

Invest in the people who invest in us:

The role of health and care workers is crucial in achieving Universal Health Coverage and protecting the world from diseases. We must invest in education, work environment, gender equity to minimize the global shortage of health workers. decent work to protect the world from disease and achieve universal health coverage

Together, we can make it happen:

We all have to ensure that our health and care workers are supported, protected, motivated, and equipped to deliver safe health care at all times to achieve UHC.

Now It’s time to show our love and appreciation

Support them so they can support you
