World Health Day (WHD) is observed every year on April 7 to mark the anniversary of the foundation day of World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO was founded on 7 April 1948, with the principle that all people should be able to realize their right to the highest possible level of health. Every year a different theme is selected keeping in mind the global public health concern.
WHD theme for 2021 is “Building a fairer, healthier world for everyone”
The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the world that not all people can afford healthier lives and available health services in the time of need. There is poverty in world that resists people to have good health, better life, good food and other basic amenities.
In the light of filling this hole, leaders are approached to ensure healthy living conditions and remove the inequity among people by enabling them to have access to quality health services whenever required.
